After the school let him go, his wife finally had enough and ditched his butt, then he got a job teaching economics at a jr. high, became an alcoholic, and got fired. Karma!

Unfortunately, the last 2 yrs of HS, we had a coach very similar to Spradlin's character. By the time the jr & sr yrs were over, he had demoralized the team and school spirit, had turned some of the guys against the others, etc. One great thing happened tho' - he got punched out in his office for picking on a 'small' kid in his gymn class by the father of the boy. Had quite a shiner!

If he were to really have said that, he'd not only be off the team, but the coach would contact all the colleges in the country and black list him! Any chance he would have had for playing anywhere, let alone going pro, would be down the crapper.
