That is the belief so many people strongly hold.

But our mistreatment of animals often leads to our mistreatment of our fellow human beings.

Animals are so helpless, they are the voiceless, and are completely at the mercy of us human beings, but we are both interconnected, and if you're capable of violence towards innocent animals then you certainly are against your fellow humans.

"Murderers very often start out by killing and torturing animals as kids." - Robert K. Ressler , FBI Serial Killer Profiler

Here in this video Ali Macgraw tells us to make the connection and that animal cruelty hurts everyone. Violence is violence, suffering is suffering pain is pain, no matter what living creature it's committed against, and there's no doubt that our mistreatment of animals has, and does lead to the mistreatment of each other.

So please support political advocacy to strengthen animal protection laws and punishments to people who abuse them, so they are dealt with appropriately and are reluctant to do it again; and really at the end of the day, just show compassion to the helpless creatures who are caught up in the middle of a human race who for the life of them just can't get along, and that way things may be a little bit better in this world; not only for the animals, but for each other as well.
