Nia is nothing like Zumba. This is a beautiful, inspiring video and I can't wait to take another class. I am loving Opal and Dreamwalker right now!

I think the technique is more to be aware of the space you take up, and to make yourself take up as much space with your movement. It's like using your arms and legs and breath to wake up the space around you, to give it energy. A lil hippie thinking but the whole idea is to connect your muscles with the neurons that make them fire.

Hi Ann, Thanks for putting this up and showing people that real dance isn't about how you look, it's about how you feel! When your chest expands and your spine lifts, your eyes are attuned, and you move in community, that is a beautiful thing isn't it :)
