Film Description: Not to be confused with the cinematic classic starring Judy Garland that would follow six years later, this animated short film is one of countless other celluloid adaptations of L. Frank Baum's best-loved story, The Wizard of Oz. Directed by Ted Eshbaugh, the Canadian film features no dialogue and tells the story of Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, and Tin Man's adventures in Oz with a mix of black & white and color animation.

  • Probably the only movie better than the book. The book was weird. It had dismemberment, and the emerald city was merely an optical illusion. By toning it down, MGM created a classic that gives a better experience to casual observers. And no, I am not anti-literacy. Most books are better, because they involve the imagination.

  • This was probably my favorite move ever when I was little. I have no idea how many times I watched it. xD

  • Crying because is my favorite movie and haven't seen it in a looooong time! This reminds me of my childhood, my momma used to put that movie every afternoon and while she was in the kitchen she said this line at least a hundred times... I'll always love you judy!!!!!

  • @cczx2bx6 Lets just hope he doesn't. His films are really weird, and they creep me out. NO ONE can remake this!

  • Does anyone know how "Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore" is often used to express realization of obvious thing? Is there any other relevance? I am not an English native. I just found this phrase frequently when I read books.

  • i hated this movie

  • Tim Burton would make a great remake of this... :)

  • My Idol! - Taylor
