  • one way in and one way out. you're supposed to take off downhill even if you have a tail wind and vice versa (but not more than 10 knots, i think. in that case, you just don't go)

  • @rocktruggy03 I thought about landing there but didn't Looked kind of fun. There aren't too many runways with that steep of a grade out there.

Landings are always uphill and TO's down hill regardless of wind direction. I operated out of W24 for years and the tree line seems to do a great job blocking much of the wind.

  • BALL!!

  • Does Falwell airport make you land uphill even when the wind favors the downhill runway and take off downhill even when the wind favors the uphill runway? I just flew from Olean, NY and opted to land at Lynchburg Regional Airport. I am a student at Liberty and I had Falwell Jet Center hanger my plane while I took classes. I was just curious what the landing and TO procedures were at the sister airport to the Falwell Jet Center.

  • looks fun!

  • Woah! That must be fun with that dip in the runway!
