Video #6 : Year 2000 problem/symptom with DEC RT-11 Version V05.04. Symptom reproduced @ MAR-09 running RT-11 Version V05.04, XM-monitor on a restored PDP-11/23 from 1987. Result: Invalid system-date, beginning in the year 2000. System is no loger able to handle creation/writing a file. --- Maybe , there is patch available. I don't know.

    I cant imagine anyone uses RT11 anymore! Somewhere I have an RX11 with some RT11 stuff on it! Now they were floppy disks.

  • No, I was not able to find a patch for this RT-11 version. As far as I know, a patch is available for the latest distributed RT-11 version.

  • i was viewing on the internet and have some patches but for rt-11 rel. 5.06

  • Your every day run of the mill Y2K bug. If you have the source one would think it should be a fairly simple fix; but if I remember right the way this series of OS address dates is rather peculiar. I run OS/8 which is similar and just put in an older date; for example for 2010 I put in 1993, that way all the dates and days of the week match up.
