YES, THIS IS IN CAPS BECAUSE I AM YELLING---THE CLOWN HOST (I never heard of him before and am 48 years old) SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED FOR THIS OUTRAGEOUSLY HORRID EPISODE OF HIS "SHOW" ALONE. A TOTAL DISRESPECT FOR ALL THE ACTORS ESPECIALLY MR. NAPIER WHO PROBABLY HAD TO ENDURE SO MUCH TO JUST GET TO THE STUDIO TO RECORD THIS.

This "host" seemed to love to heard HIMSELF talk and didn't know even the BASICS of the Batman TV series.

WHAT A SHAME.

Mr. Napier couldn't even finish to tell his story, what a lack of respect towards an old man.

@mirzamarco Perhaps the idea was he was senile, said inappropriate things that could get the network sued, and they certainly would have preferred to have given him some Thorazine instead.

@msk7046 This should've been done on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee or Oprah, those hosts would've treated the cast with the respect they deserve. Agreed the host Ross Shafer should've gotten canned for this.

This was a painful memory for Adam West due to Alan Napier. In Adam's words: "Alan had recently suffered a stroke...he spoke with the greatest of difficulty....no consideration was given to his condition, and I sat there fuming as he was asked questions that required lengthy answers, or as the camera would catch this wonderful man gazing blankly into space...it was insensitive and shameful. This show was a sad end to his distinguished career; he died shortly after the taping.".

The host is Ross Schafer, formerly a Seattle TV host of Almost Live (a local show) He was offered a job in LA and he jumped at the opportunity. Unfortunately it bombed.

Let's just be glad that people still remember & love Adam West, Burt Ward, Frank Gorshin, etc., and mr. douche-host Ross Schafer is completely forgotten.
