I love how dropping a baton is America's bad karma for I am assuming their own arrogance and imperialism. It is very tiny bad karma. By that logic, they must be doing mostly really wonderful things to deserve all the good karma for the all gold medals they win. A country drops a baton...that is all that happened. A baton was dropped. The end please. This year this country, next year your country. No athlete anywhere who works so hard for so many years deserves this kind of disappoint. No one.

First of all it's imperialism. And secondly, athletes and the US citizen have nothing to do with the policies of the government.
Chances are these sprinters didn't even vote for the current president.
