This is one of those films that only gets truer as time goes on.

The GREATEST movie of all-time. My favorite, hands down.

I don't know much about politics and all, But this speech is so moving and inspirational. I understand every line he said.. This needs to be more widespread.

And it still is an amusement park. I can't believe how old this movie is.

slight spoiler!
The writers and director of ' Network ' knew what television would become in the 21st Century. They foresaw the rise of CNN, FOX , MSNBC and more. They saw the death of electronic " journalism" . Prophetic film. All blood, gore and foolishness aside, Robocop is also brilliant and prophetic. A movie written in the 1980s about what tv and life in the year 2000 ( and beyond) would be like. How could they have known?? Fascinating.

@TLionelH Yeah Robocop shows us the corrupt privatized security forces for profit also, FEAR OCP!!!!!
I feel bad sometimes you know, George Orwell was prophetically right about the Big Brother society, as well as Huxley about our bombardment of futile information, as was Guy Debord about the Society of Spectacle, as was Ezra Benson about Executive Branch takeover and Thomas Jefferson about the banking industry. Now how they interacted to create this world would be interesting to know someday...
