This Is part 1 of a 2 part tutorial showing you how to make a cheap but very effective wing mount for a small video camera under your Paraglider canopy.Easy to make and interchangable between most wings. Here is a video with some of the results http://www.vimeo.com/4863408 I do not use a wide angle lens but you can use one If you wish with this design.Good luck making yours and fly safe.

  • Great video! Whats the name of the nice jazzy tune in the background? I like it!

  • Congratulations - a super system.

I have also been interersted in the same idea but have gone a slightly different direction and am using a hula-hoop. I have also made a steerable version to move the camera direction while flying.

One word of advice. I also started off by using the cheap carabines to mount to the wing canopy . I soon found out that lines can easily get caught in them (Murphys law of tangled lines). I then changed to the closed type (see videos).
