  • Outstanding! Also funny at one point. Reminds me of our Trini daughter-in-law. Whenever we visited and she saw me reading something, she insisted that I sit next to our infant grandchildren and read aloud. Poor kids learned to speak by listening to scholarly papers on anthropology and history. grin.

  • @frankwsweet Thank you. What part of it did you find funny?

  • @Haseeb2 When she repeats the ignorant rant about lack of African civilization, the lecturer points out that it was not a question, she asks if the lecturer wants to comment on it anyway. And he answers blunt, "no."

By the way, my wife (masters in early childhood development) is convinced that intellectual stimulation of the infant is the most important factor. I suppose that is why she and our daughter in law always have me reading aloud to the grandkids.

  • @frankwsweet Thank you. It is nice to know what parts people are likely to find funny.

Yes indeed. Even reading aloud to the fetus can probably give the baby a leg up.
