You can eat whatever you want as long as you are physically active. Recent research has shown that people who eat crap and yet vigorously workout LIVE LONGER than those who eat healthy/organic but don't workout. Physical inactivity is what's killing people. Cars, Television, two hour movies that traps people on their sofas, 8 hour shift job behind a desk with zero physical stimulation, etc, is what they need to make a documentary on. Leave corn alone.

"Grain as a staple is unnatural?" Are you kidding? I don't think most anthropologists would agree with you..at least if you're talking about human beings. Many used all sorts of grain as a staple. Most human cultures have. But on a side note, I think that people are becoming confused about nutrition and making emotional, not rational decisions and ideas about it. Meat is absolutely essential and flesh is the only source of some amino acids. But I think people will believe what they like anyway.

The Food Pyramid is a food lobby design. Grain & corn fatten cows & so they fatten people.Grain as a staple is unnatural and the paleoithic diet of grass fed beef is huge in Omega-3 (avoid grain fed beef). Vegetarian? A diet which has no traditional precendent in the wise ancient cultures of our ancestors? Vegetarians in India are plagued with heart attacks. Animals fed traditionally are essential in fatty acids for the human diet. Heart disease was rare before the high carb diet.

When they say that cattle are fed a diet of corn, most of the tonnage is in the form of corn sileage, which is the whole plant chopped up and fermented. It is the same digestively as the grasses would be.

America's ancient peoples ate only corn. You are very easily manipulated.

I met a few of the Profs in the movie. The point, message, etc. was NEVER corn, "doesn't do anything for your body." It's, "too much of anything in your diet isn't good for you." Corn is actually VERY nutrient dense, so is milk, but the specific variety called 'yellow dent' is overused in the food supply.
