seinfeld was better than friends but sitcoms still got a ways to go, and without a laughtrack hopefully, unless its more natural like it was in a lot of friends/seinfeld

@YouTabacco it would be so hard not to imitate friends within new sitcoms. i think writers do it accidentally, just because friends may have been a big influence in their lives, especially as a writer. big bang theory and how i met your mother are two very.. uh, without saying "copies" of friends.. but they are very obviously influenced by friends.

@YouTabacco i watch big bang theory too but i don't see any relation to friends. friends will always be the best, favorite show to me. could you explain some of the similarities though? i'd like to see what you think :) but i do agree with you - the leonard/penny relationship doesn't even come close to the ross/rachel relationship.

Friends for me is one of the best written sitcoms. The big bang theory is also very witty and has lots of ideas taken from Friends, some scenes remind me of friends, but the story line is not so strong ... probably nothing will ever match Friends.

I know that I will NEVER love a show like I love Friends. I love a lot of other shows but none will ever compare. I own the entire series & anytime I need to laugh, I just pop in a dvd and my day is literally better. I wish this show went on forever lol : )
