@sfjazzer Couldn't agree with your comments more. The guy is an amateur. "ClassicalistheWay" must be his agent, or whatever. Obviously, he doesn't know what real jazz is, and neither does Kwan.

@sfjazzer My thoughts exactly. This guy is such an amateur. Can't believe that he actually had the guts, or the ego, to put out an album. I dowloaded his whole album. Didn't make it past the first three cuts. What a waste of $8.99. To think I could have gotten a Big Mac Meal for that. It would have been more nourishing to the soul, and way less nauseating.

@CLASSICAListheWAY When a singer puts out a video, or releases an album, he gets reviews and comments. Glad you like his voice and style. I don't. You have the right to your opinion, I have the right to mine. Music is subjective dude. As a real actual jazz musician (which I am), I don't think this guy should be calling himself a "jazz vocalist." There is no jazz in what he does. Easy listening, maybe. Jazz -- there's no jazz in it. Bland, bland, bland. Just my opinion, dude.

Oy. Well, having heard the great Oleta Adams sing this same exact song, in this same exact room, all I can say is that Bill Kwan should NOT quit his day job, whatever that may be. He calls himself a "jazz vocalist" -- there is absolutely no jazz feeling -- no soul, no passion -- in his vocal performance. This performance would be mediocre in a mediocre karaoke bar. Mr. Kwan -- work on a few things, like PITCH, phrasing . . . well, where to even start! Wow. He either has guts, or ego.
