@zapwatt Yes, but the only early (non-crossflow) six with a separate intake manifold was the 250-2V, which was only manufactured in Australia for a few years. Ford of Australia went on to develop the crossflow 4.1L six, but strictly speaking it's physically different to the early sixes, i.e. you can't slap on a crossflow head without modifying the block.

"What made the 250 different from previous sixes was its larger main journal, bolt-on intake manifold, and bellhousing/starter arrangement like a small-block V-8

Exaggeration: the 250 was cured of that problem. It had a separate intake manifold
-
Slight correction: the 144/170/200 did have the integrated inlet manifold, the 250 did not

What's the camshaft?
-
Now when you say "302 rods", are you saying you can use rods meant for a 302 in a small ford six? Cause if you can, that would be great.
-
They all had the integral log intake - the 144, 170, 200, and 250. The head shown here is a custom aluminium head made by Classic Inlines.
-
@Gsnickets the 200's do also since my swather has a 200-6 ford in it and it has the molded intake.
-
@6030diesel I believe it was only on the 144's that had the intake cast into the head.

Has anyone tried the EZ-EFI system on the Ford sixes?
Is the head a simple bolt on or is there more to it?
