Kayla:*wakes up around ten with Tyler sleeping next to her*
Tyler:*moves onto his side still asleep*
Kayla:*gets up quietly and goes to Kevin's office down the hall*
Kevin:*reading paper work*
Kay:*knocks on the door*
Kevin:*puts the paper down*come in
Kay:*walks in*Uncle Kevin are you busy?
Kev:not for you sweetheart*smiles and pats his lap*
Kay:*sits on his lap*can I ask you something?
Kev:of course anything
Kay:Did you know Mr.Brandon,Kyle's bilogical father?
Kev:oh yeah we knew eachother for a couple years
Kay:Was he a good guy?
Kev:an amazing guy he loved his wife and his children
Kay:really?
Kev:he became one of my good friends*looks down and plays with her fingers*
Kay:*quietly*until he past away from cancer
Kev:*sad*he was a great guy,he didn't deserve cancer
Kay:do you think he would've ever abuse his family?
Kev:*looks at her*not a million years,he loved them so much
Kay:What do you know about Derek?Kyle's stepdad
Kev:I haven't really gotten to know him but he seems okay
Kay:*looks down with tears in her eyes*
Kev:Kayla whats with all this,what's going on?
Kay:*looks at him and cries*People aren't always what they seem
Kev:Kayla please your scaring me,tell me what's going on
Kay:about a week ago a day after the party,I noticed Kyle had a bruise under his eye
Kev:and?
Kay:he started ignoring me all week and when i saw him again he had bruises all over his body
Kev:where did he get it from?
Kay:At the party last week his stepdad was drunk
Kev:*eyes go in shock*Kayla is Derek--
Kay:*cries hard*yes he abuses him
Kev:*takes her off of his lap and stands up*since when do you know about this?
Kay:since this morning
Kev:*grabs his jacket*come on
Kay:*gets up and goes to him*wait,there's something else
Kev:*opens the door*what?
Kay:his step dad does not only get drunk but he also gets high
Kev:on what?
Kay:*crying*any drug you can name
Kev:*grabs her hand and they walk out of the house and to his car*
Kay:*gets in with Kevin*where are we going?
Kev:*starts driving*we're gonna stop this
*10 minutes later they're in Kyle's driveway*
Kev:here*hands her his phone*call the police and stay in the car
Kay:okay
Kev:*walks up to the door and rings the bell*
Derek:*opens the door*hi
Kev:hi*shakes his hand*Kevin Jonas,Tyler's dad
Derek:*smiles*yes I remember you what brings you around here?
Kev:my wife and I were going on a date tomorrow and we were wondering if you were up for a double date?
Derek:we would love to but my wife is sick and is unable to move
Kev:oh poor Kathy,do you mind if I see her to see how she's doing?
Derek:I'm sorry but she is very contagious I will tell her you stopped by*about to shut the door*
Kev:*holds the door so it won't close*I know what's going on here so you better
let me in before things get ugly
Derek:*looks past him and sees Kayla in the car,gets angry*Those 2 brats told!
Kev:*pushes the door and walks in the house*Don't you dare talk about Kyle and Kayla like that!
Derek:so what!?! I hit my stepson,I do it because he's a good for nothing brat!
Kev:*punches him*
Derek:*falls down*
Kyle:*walks downstairs and his eyes go wide*
Kev:*turns to Kyle*Kyle get your mom and sister and get out of here,now!
Derek:*hits Kevin in the back of his head with a bat*
Kev:*falls to the ground*
Kyle:No!*punches Derek*
Derek:you son of a bitch*pushes him to the ground and starts kicking him*
Kev:*trying to get up*
Derek:*grabs the bat and is about to hit Kyle*
Kayla:NO! stop hurting him please!*crying*
Derek:*turns around and sees Kayla standing by the door*
