E3 2009 Sideline Analysis - Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

Sonic and a bunch of people you've never heard of reskinned Mario Kart! Watch the video and help us identify them!

Dear Concerned Sonic Fans,

First of all, no one is complaining, or moaning. We are completely neutral on this whole Mario vs Sonic fanboi debate. Additionally, THIS IS NOT A REVIEW. This, is us commenting, on the build of this game, THAT THE DEVELOPERS presented at E3. We didn't raid their headquarters and start stealing their unfinished files. The developers thought this build to be complete enough to present at E3. But you can be damn sure we'll review it when it comes out.

To those of you concerned that this is the only game we'd label a mario kart ripoff, it is in-fact not. Since Mario Kart was the originial kart based, power-up, cartoony
racer, then all those that follow that formula would in-fact be a MK RIPOFF. The one reason that I actually give this game value, is a reason brought up by a fellow youtube
user. The fact that MK is only for WII, and this game will be for multiple consoles gives it major points.

And on one final note... We know who Amy is. When we say "who is this in the pink car?" We are simply suggesting in a facetious manner that not many people will be yelling "I call Amy!" on the character choice screen. That casual gamers don't really give a damn that Amy is driving her pink cadillac in this game and that only crazed fanbois
would even think of this as part of the selling point. Calm down, enjoy the footage, and wait for the review.

Theres a few things i like the point out in this video.

1.) It's not a Mario Kart Rip-off its just a simple kart racing game. I mean there are other kart racing games besides mario kart such as Crash team racing and Diddy kong racing.

2.) You guys really don't pay attention to the sonic characters don't you!

3.) The game is not bad, its just unfinished thats all, so the team who made this game still needs a lot of adjustments for the final version of this game.

Does anyone give a damn about Segas other characters? Are you serious?

Shenmue? Jet Set Radio? Streets of Rage? Phatasy Star? Skies of Arcadia? among many many others... Sega have made probably just as many classics as Nintendo and spread across far more IPs.

Those games aren't rip-offs of mario kart. Do you call call of duty a rip off of duke-nukem You have a gun and walk around and shoot people with a different environment. Its a genre.

Its a kart game. The sega characters are well known, even for non sega gamers. They have seen them before.

Only ryo,opa opa and perhaps ulala are not very well known characters. Amy has been there in all sonic games, so they recognize her. Start drifting in the game to see the true speed racer....
