Imagine what Paganini would have done With an electric guitar... :0

    It's about Paganini, not Heifetz.

....not his compositions, which, although good, are not great - there is a distinction. Paganini, above all was a violinist who had an incredible technique.

He had a good knowledge of sonata form and - most importantly - he could write a good tune! However, in my opinion, his main brief was to write music

that would show to the world what an amazing player he was. Don't get me wrong, there IS beauty in his music - I love it! But compared to the great masters, he's a mere lightweight.

I strongly disagree. Paganini was a good composer, but not what I would call great. Does he immediately spring to mind when talking about Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Berlioz, etc.? I think not. As a composer, he simply isn't in their league. Whereas Heifetz is amongst that esteemed handful of really great violinists that the world has so far produced.

Paganini was also a great violinist - by far the greatest of his age, and he will be remembered for his astonishing virtuosity

You aren't being fair toward the electric guitar. It isn't any more limited than acoustic. Sonically it is more diverse but both are fine instruments. On your channel you have videos using electric pianos. What's the difference? You may not like the music generated on an electric guitar, which is fine, but that speaks more to your personal taste than it does toward any negative aspect of the instrument. The electric is as legitimate an instrument as the acoustic.

I disagree. I don't think he would want music to die because of guitar. I play saxophone (which this has been transposed for) and it is amazing. I truly believe that Paganini would love to see music evolve. Perhaps not into modern forms, but that is a different debate entirely.

django was probably the best guitar player to ever live.not because of his disabled parts but because of the songs he created and the level he took what was before nothing but an accompaniast instrument.

do not take disrespect towards another instrument.dont believe that you are of higher class because of the violon.the violon is one of the most amazing instruments and always will be.a true music enthusiest can appreciate talent in all forms.there are many guitar players that would put many violin players to shame .the guitar while easy to learn is one of the hardest to master.listen to this song played on classical guitar.sounds amazing .anyways perfectly played and always wonderful.regards.GV
