Tiger Woods gave a speech today, apologizing for his actions of infidelity and in return he might have hurt his career even more today. Can Tiger Woods pull his career and his marriage out of the rough? David Zirin says that Tiger should either participated and let the interviewers ask all of their questions and then move on.

  • This is not news. RT discredits themselves by trying to feed us this rotten tabloid garbage.

  • "People love reality TV"

"This is more real than real reality TV"

Reality check. My take is that this is NOT reality, it is a complete and utter distraction FROM reality.

Reality is Gaza. Reality is Iraq or Afghanistan or Iran. Reality is African hunger and daily barbarism. Reality is the growing global police state. Reality is the worldwide pedophilia-satanic ritual ring that exists within the highest possible circles of power. Where does tiger's "suffering" fit?

    Jmo, of course.

  • @mauricemorning agreed - well said.

  • @slewofdamascus It is the same process that allows people to bemoan the death of 3.500 innocent civilians (9/11) while being completely ignorant of the death of at least 500,000 Muslim men, women and children since the illegal invasion of Iraq in 1991. It is called unconsciousness. Tiger's dilemma is real and important to Tiger and Elin, and can be an object lesson to us all. Self knowledge and honesty are important human tools to end the kinds of twisted realities most would rather ignore.

I posted my response to libertymom then read yours. You and I have much in common. The realitiy of which you speak is much more important than so called "reality". The problem is that the process which allows people to ignore this reality is the same process which attracts them to these kinds of distractions.

This is not news--it is profound analysis. Zirin's viewpoint, countered by the probing (predictable?) questions of the anchor, take this clip way beyond anything you would ever see on network or cable TV. Two thumbs up, I say.

  • dave zirin is the best sportswriter in america, hands down!

  • psilocyberspaceman, "stupid" and "imbecile" is the same thing!!!!

  • Don't count Eldrick woods out yet. The Syphilis Open is coming up !

  • Stop replying to me then! What you don't get is that what tiger did....adultry....is a very public thing. It doesn't matter if your famous or not. Once done everyone knows. Did Tiger expect all those women not to tell? If he did he is dumber than I thought. He should of known.

  • TIGER IS JUST A MOTHER FUCKER THAT WANT TO MAKE MORE MONEY,dont listen to this shit.
