This video accompanies show 34 of the DeckConstruct podcast, in which we look at combo decks throughout Magic's history.

In Clash of the Combos, Dan, Alex and Tim pit four combo decks - Necropotence, High Tide, Dredge and Painter - against each other to, well, see which ones win!

This video is a lot more casual than our PTQ videos, but nonetheless we try to play the decks properly.

Music Credits:
Intro: Sleeperspaceborn - Still I
Waiting for Dredge: Lance Gambit Trio - Left Field Two
Credits: Dan Masquelier - Wake Up

  • How did he play Painter's Servant on turn two? Ancient tomb became a mountain didn't it?

  • Ugh, I wish Imperial Recruiter wasn't so good/expensive.

  • Oops. I guess that was Tim playing the Grindstone. I need to pay better attention. :)

  • Daniel is just fun to listen to.

    Alex - "Grindstone."

    Dan - "Oh, COME ON!"

Games are definitely more fun when people are into them. :)
