Let's See Action from Who Came First.
Who Came First is the first major-label solo album by Pete Townshend, guitarist and lead songwriter of The Who. It includes outtakes from the semi-aborted Who concept album Lifehouse as well as homages to his mentor Meher Baba. Several songs on Who Came First as well as nearly all bonus tracks on the 1992 and 2006 re-releases first appeared in Townshend's other tribute albums Happy Birthday, I Am, and With Love. One dollar from each sale of the 1972 album went to charities.

  • what happened to music like this?????? I want the late 60's and early 70's back........b4 disco that is.

  • Pete T was the brains of The Who and the heart of the band together with Keith Moon. Born in the 50"s like me i got to experience this. Something later generations missed. The music. The Bands. The Artists...sorry.. you will never see something like that again Today everything is digitally created and artistry has gone to the grave.

  • according to the sleeve notes, PT did everything except making the tea, on eel pie island (which is a real island in the thames)

  • I had to wait a long time to get this album - needed the money and finally I got it and played this track over and over again. Picked up the tonearm and put it back and played it over and over. I'd heard it a couple times on the radio, but it never was played a whole lot. I loved the song immediately. Great album. Great song.

  • yup..this is the version

  • this version is better than the Who's

  • Bought it when it came out. Who's Next came out around the same time so this one was overshadowed by everyone except devout Who fans. Great album! Still have it & sounds great on the old turntable.

  • @abt7217tc- which beatle fucked up the beatles

  • man, PT wrote a lot of great songs.

  • Thanks it's been about 30 some years since i heard this.....

  • @titostacos Yes, He did...everything except "making the tea"...
