  • What's the name of this song being played? Did Pa play this one on his fiddle?

  • @Rusfi16 No, he didn't. It's just a waltz played by a fiddler. We had to use music that is within the public domain and fiddle music in the public domain is hard to find.

  • omg i love liw ive reald 7 out of her 9 books ill beg my parents on this but where is it located causei live in tn

  • @justinbieber1172 It's located in Mansfield, Missouri.

  • that was wonderful, I wish you would show the inside of the home

  • Photography and videotaping aren't permitted inside the home. But hopefully this will tempt you to go visit so you can see the inside for yourself! :)

  • I just got back from Rocky Ridge. It was a lovely spot for Laura and Almanzo's final home. The tours conducted by the people there are excellent and you can tell they really care about Laura and her legacy; it isn't just a job to them.

Make sure you tour the Rock House, too. That's where the first 4 books were written.

Don't miss the Bookstore/Gift Shop! Lots of great things for folks interested in Laura and the "Little House" books.

  • This was very cool for me. I have been to Pepin, WI, Walnut Grove, MN and DeSmet, SD many times, but I have never been to Mansfield, MO. That is the one place I would love to see. Thanks for posting this!

  • Wonderful video! I try to visit there every year for the fall festival. It's a five-hour drive from where I live.

  • i realy like seeing this video this was one of the last places me and my mother went before she died. seeing the house in the video sure brings back a bunch of good memories.

  • This is a great view around Rocky Ridge. I just can't wait to get back there. Great summary of what there is to see.
