Like Mingus, and I am sure many more do but I noticed the classical music influence.I love it.On"Black Saint and the Sinner Lady" I loved Mingus piano time.Wow McCoy started a great intensity build up with short chaotic chords. He must be really lost in his head to keep it steady, moody and always keeping a listener guessing...Enes

This is some James Bond music. Like Connery/ Moore Bond. You could say Tyner really has some "Goldfingers."

THANK YOU! I love McCoy Tyner, including the early hard bop.

Thanks for putting this up. Never heard of this recording but McCoy is on fire. So is the rhythm section. It speeds up but it's so intense you're glad they did. Elastic time - incredible!
