Hufzilla - Worlds fastest electric bicycle, electric bike, Starter motorbike.

This is my home made electric bike. Here you will see me doing 60km/h in first gear, the bike has 16 gears. I am yet to find a length of road long enough and straight enough to really see its full potential.

Donor bike was a second hand "Huffy" mountain bike. You may have seen these bikes for sale at Big W or K-mart. Starter motor is off a truck, draws heaps of current and produces massive amounts of torque. Not built for long trips, goes hard and fast and motor gets hot after a while. Battery is an Exide Extra X56D putting out 550 CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) Awesome fun GO AND BUILD ONE!

By the way the water bottle is a temporary fire extinguisher.

Brillant ,good recycling of used parts anyone in the world can have a electric bike without spending lots of money .Third world counties have the materials at hand to power a bike or trike.

I built a Gas powered one but ma fat american butt is to much for it. my 17 yr old can get 48 mph out of it, I only get 37 or so

I've made almost the same bike, but I used an additional reductor 28:1

I switch the motor on, only when going uphill.
