I've never played this game, will now get it for mame (more about that coming up at the weekend :o) )

Was this considered a sort of "unofficial" sequel to robotron? Its been a while since I've played this. I'll have to fire up my old mame disc and give it a go
Great video as always Steve :)

A dollar? Lol. :P
On the 360 version, there's an achievement (glitched) that requires you to beat the game without continuing, as well as achievements which require the same on individual levels (not glitched).
I managed to do the first level w/o continuing but didn't see the point of trying for the other 2 when the one achievement that I'd really want wouldn't unlock. :( That's not to say I'd have done it, however.
It would've been pointless anyhow because of the invincibilty glitch.

I love this game so much, have lost too many hours to it, now all you have to do is go get an Xbox 360 and play all the great twin stick shooters available at Xbox live arcade xD The Dark Side has much to offer...

@SteveBenway You press C and the D-pad in the direction you wish to fire at same time.
-
loved this on the amiga. it allowed you to use both joysticks, one for movement and the other for directional fire. i always asumes the arcade version had two sticks.
also if you play it on MAME, you can use dual analogs on a 360 pad.
Great vid

Never played this one.
I wonder if it was the inspiration for Gauntlet - that was a money munching arcade machine.

It was SK writing under his Bachman guise .
Phil wrote a short 'We can remember it for you wholesale.' (short story) later filmed as Total recall subsequent;y they re named Phil's short story ... both films starring Arnnie S, of course.
Another coOl link right there!!! lol
Smash TV is one of my favorites! I love the voiceover intro, "Good luck! You'll need it!"
