  • You can't find stuff like this on the radio because - unfortunately - it does not sell. Money rules and our culture does not support beautiful music. But if they dressed like whores and sang about 'drinkin & cheatin' you might find them playing on every other radio station. I love this kind of music but you can't even find it on sirius, etc.

  • The only problem I ever have with such beautiful music is that it causes me to ponder why I can`t turn on my radio and find such wonderful musician, rather than producer inspired music.

I hope commercial am/fm radio knows folks like me are switching off and turning on to internet based music providers.

    Thanks for the clip. Sublime!

  • This group is terrific... and thanks for posting info about radio music stations that just might play them! We need more music like this. So tired of the trash that's out now. All the "drinkin & cheatin" kind of popular music that sells. The Jenny's play real music that touches the heart and the soul! We need more music like this in the world.

  • Yes...they are well know on "Prairie Home Companion" and around folk circles but alas, the marketing powers that be who cater to the low common denominators of the average media listener will ignore them and instead continue to supply cookie-cutter dance/angst dribble. Along this line, just listen to the lyrics of Todd Rundgren's " Soul Brother" where he complains about the demise of real soul music ...
