Two flybacks here: the first is from an old Czechoslovak portable televison, this is the smallest flyback I own, with selenium rectifier inside.
The second flyback is from a TV and unlike others, this one provides a lot less current, however the voltage output is in excess of 55-60 kilovolts..
Uin 48V=, drops to 43-45V on load.
@TheReal1inflater Well, I already have a rewound MOT for a heavy duty output of 37 volts and at least a good 20A (12 gauge wire used) and it is able to do some decent arcs on my ZVS. I should rewind another dead MOT I have here with 16 or 18 gauge so I can get at least 50V with a few steady amps. I have plenty of capacitors for smoothing

@TheReal1inflater I am only using the fuse to protect my battery's from any short circuit's ( ;
Don't fancy my battery's being ruined lol

@Alex1M6 A fuse in this circuit? Waste of a few cents. They always burn at the very end of a possible destructive mayhem (luckily, ZVS drivers do not tend to explode out of a sudden).
SLAs are a much harder current source than this green-o transformer 'o doom. :-)

@TheReal1inflater Mine has gotten close to drawing 15 amps when using 36v from 3 12v lead acid battery's in series. The 15amp fuse I was using started to get hot meaning it was close to rupturing.

@juniortore1 Ah. Well, audio transformers do have an air gap and have different pri/sec ratios, you might try dismantling an UPS or a photocopier for a beefier transformer.
Rewinding a microwave oven transformer (hammering out the original secondary first) and using huge filtration caps would also be a good idea.

@Alex1M6 Well twas a rough estimate. None of my ZVS drivers have eaten more than 15A, though.

@TheReal1inflater its just an audio transformer.

@juniortore1 Whats your supply, is it a rewound MOT ?
TheReal1inflater 4 months ago
@TheReal1inflater Not as much as my PSU that is 59VDC with no arcs, and is 38VDC when pulling like 6 inch arcs. I will worry about a better PSU when I make my IGBT ZVS, but for now with this little PCB type ZVS doing 6 inch 1/2cm wide arcs is enough for now.

@juniortore1 This one drops to 42-43 V on load, 50V unloaded.
