The difference is bands of the 60's and 70's, (not as much in the 80's), actually perfected their craft before they came onto the scene. You cannot even compare the raw MUSICAL TALENT, of Zep, The Stones, Rush, Yes, Cream, Bowie, (could go 4 ever), to what we have today, which is 90% Hype. (Smoke and Mirrors). PS Britney is a good dancer, Hip Hop is a way out of the ghetto, and Jonas bros are flaming faggots

music didnt die before the 90's it just changed and adapted to the audiences. its just ppl like you who have this close minded ideal in wat music should be when you should know music is everywhere. music is about interpretation and emotion. it reflects the audiences of its time. I listen to everything from classic metal to some hip hop to metalcore and punk and enjoy it all. I'll to admit tht the music in earlier years than the 90's and such was better but music now is still very awesome.
