For the record... it's almost 100% IMPOSSIBLE for Cook NOT to get the title tonight.

Even my over-bearing preference aside, logically and using solely the facts, David Cook is the Winner for American Idol 2008.

If, for whatever reason, he does NOT win, then the show will lose all integrity and is 100% fixed.

That would be the only way to explain it.

I dont think that the show is fixed but I do believe the judges try to sway the voters. But who really listens to them anyway? If anything when they dissed Cook it just made us Cook fans vote more. DC 4TW!

DC has a brother who is battling cancer. If you watch the Collective Soul vid of this tune, it is about a man on the edge - literally. I think DC's emotion was directly related to his love for his brother, and the overwhelming response of the crowd. I also think his obvious anger at S. Cowell, and Cowell's later apology, was related to his brother's condition. Randy and Paula probably chewed Simon's ass after the show.

he's so sweet...but why did hwe cry? was he just overwhelmed? he had just an amzing performnce, it's so him, so honest and pure-the most perfect song fot the end of the show. i'm really happy he didn't do a song he'd done already.
