Personally I have only experienced these sounds on the 737NG series, and, more specifically, when seating near the front of the wing like in this video. In business class or in the back of economy you barely hear these sounds.. really wondering what it is, it's a very distinctive sound.

I think the video cam is part to blame aswell. some cam's intensify this sound. In my opinion the sound on my video is a more realistic representation. watch?v=ZL7kExOQgTw

ahh ok! pretty loud aircos then :) u dont hear them on the a320 like that :")
