Wow Kyle, that is NOT and easy peice! you did a fabulous job and, of course, memorized. Have you hear the recording of Granados? Almost bought it at NFA but didn't. Doubt many know about this one yet...to your advantage :)

Hi! The Mom here ... Kyle really loves this piece - and NO! It is not easy! He really loved it at the NFA Convention last year, though, and wasn't content to just buy the music (autographed by Mr. Granados). He had to learn it and enjoyed the challenge nearly as much as the piece itself. Thank you for the kind words!

You're gonna see him this summer? That's going to be fun! He's a very nice guy, and you can learn quite a lot from him. His music tends to be emotionally driven and there's almost always a story behind it.

Good luck to you (her, not sure who I'm talking to), I'm sure you'll do well! You (she) seem like a very musically mature person for someone your age!

Just caught up with You Tube to find this really marvellous performance. The young one here is currently on Piazolla (Tango Etudes) - she can learn a lot from you. We're seeing Granados this summer and attending a class by him at the British Flute Convention. She was hoping to be able to play his Heebie Jeebies by then, but she won't quite make it! Your playing really is maturing beautifully. It's a real pleasure. Young H follows you, of course, but is bemused by how good you are.
