Before writing about Henry Wells. I spent many hours in old newspapers researching just what may have happened the week Wells was killed. The fact that I grew up in Carrollton was a big help. Nor will I ever forget the many stories passed down from my great grandmother (Emma Fulgham) who died in Carrollton in 1938. She was twenty one years old when Wells died.
