BRIXTON BEACH (PART ONE)

30 years ago Lambeth Council in South London commissioned the construction of the biggest skate park and BMX park in the city. It was popular then, and it's still very popular now. Apart from being a haven for local residents, it is visited by enthusiasts from all over the world. It is highly valued by users and spectators alike. Often as many as fifty people use the park at the same time. There is plenty of room for everyone and everyone is made welcome. In this DVD we study the art and skills involved and talk to skate-boarders and BMXers about why they love the park.

I skate Brixton all the time... I'm my 8 years or so going there, I've never had any trouble. Everyone that skates there is friendly and look out for each other.

This video is propaganda for Lambeth. If it was so multicultural then why is Lambeth so racist. The housing, Job Centers, Citizens Advise, etc,etc, are ALL racist, not to mention the police , who are there to protect these criminals who oppress the people in the area.

The people in THIS video are cool,but in that same area, Just around the corner, a youth was shot in the community center. Lambeth has people who were born in this country, white, mixrace, black, in their 30s still living at home because the council hates them, but caters for immigrants. The Job Centers KNOW there is a recession and STIL use an excuse to put people on Crisis loans which they have to pay back. Day light ROBBERY. We should fight back like the Irish did, and their problem is solved
