Firestorm Katrina!

Help yourselves. Why do Blacks keep voting the Dem's in? All they do is MAKE promises & never kept them for any of Us. Never. If they did the Major Cities would be better than anywhere else. The Dem's have control of every Major City in the U.S. and Crime is worse than it's ever been. The Schools too. 70% drop-out. Why do you Vote for these people every time? Why?

This statement doesn't seem to be about the misfortunes of any of those who suffered loss in Katrina or in the wildfires. It's moreso a statement at the stark contrast in how aid was deliverd to those who needed it most. it's not an indictment of the wildfire victims at all. It's an indictment of the Bush administration.

This is a mirror being held up to all who chose to open their eyes and see that institutional and governmental racism DOES exist in this country.

No one heard all this whinning about Galveston, Cameron, Johnson Bayou or other towns that are completely gone from Rita.

Mayor Ray "chocoate city" Nagin was an incompetent, egomaniacal, racist jackass. He failed his own people and tried to shift blame to the white people around him. Typical.

yeah, but California was burning down where the majority of buildings were burning down rather than being heavily damaged in new orleans. restructuring California was more vital in that the actual major loss of land was done, not just a major water damage. And finally California is much more vital and important to the United States than the South states and new orleans. Being the worlds 7th largest economy actually means something, and if California falls than we can just about forget the rest.

Many people are STILL displaced. There is no rebuilding of infastructure in many parts of the city...even years later. They put people in mold infested and toxic mobile homes. The insurance companies are not paying out on legitmate claims, and victimizing hard working tax paying home owner yey again. So don't act like all they had to do was get out of the city and their problems wold be solved. It's just not that simple.
