DC-6 flying the Caribbean

In the early 1990's we filmed some of the last commercial flying DC-6's in the continental United States. This small fleet of DC-6's and one DC-7 flew up and down the Caribbean delivering and picking up cargo. Their base was out of Miami Airport in a area called Corrosion Corner. This is some of that wonderful footage.

Thank you very much for this video. I flew as a flight engineer on C-118 aircraft for approximately 8 years in the US Navy. This brought back old memories,so all I can say is "Max power dry"

I feel like my heart will stop. Long ago in Central America my parents found me after 13 hrs search. I was playing on a DC 3 parked in the back of an airport. That event shoot me for ever! I am a A&P, still looking the pilot seat. It can't be over. (BTW thanks for the video )

Is there any chance that these are still flying for Butler Aviation in Oregon? I work with them on fires in the summer, love these old birds!
