Song from the 5th album of 'Peel slowly and see'.

In this world as we know it
Sorrows come and go
Now we see the human race
Has put its footprints on the moons face

Satellites gone up to the sky
But its not as nice as looking in your eyes

Woh, take it for a little while
No, I could watch it on tv, yeah

Satellite of love, oh, satellite of love
Satellite of love, satellite of

Satellites gone up to the sky
And its going to drive me out of my mind

Woh, take it for a little while
No, I can watch it on tv, yeah

Satellite of love, satellite of love
Satellite of love, satellite of

Ive been told, baby, youve been bold
To winkin, blinkin and nod
Monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday
To winkin, blinkin and nod

Satellite of love, satellite of love
Satellite of love, satellite of

Satellite of love
Satellite of love, its just a little bit of
A satellite of love

  • This idea of slagging Lou Reed's solo stuff because it's not 'The Velvet Undergound' is completely asinine.

  • geez theres just something about 60s music that gets me. no decade will ever beat the 60s .

  • I like the feeling of velvet.

  • I love both versions, right now i'm digging on this one since it's very upbeat but you can still feel the raw and at times dark emotions, goddamn lou reed how do you do it

  • After hearing this, I've always switched out "Harry, Mark and John" with "Winkin, Blinkin and Nod."

  • @CrapLode66 lol this song was recorded in 1970.

  • i'll take reed's version

  • @bibimyunn they are legendary

  • Loaded session.

The drumming by Steve Yule (Doug's bro, filling up for a pregnant Moe) gives a real rock'n roll feel to the song and in fairness to the all Loaded album.

    Doo-wop Lou is playing along.

    Pure enjoyment!

  • @lemonlorry Yeah, "modern" as in 1972. Haha.

  • @lemonlorry Exactly what I wanted to say only not about the Bowie part didn't know that, fun to know
