  • people dont realize how hard it is and what energy and nerve u gotta have to become a doctor....lots of lots of sacrifice...when hear folks talking about how hard it is to be a lawyer, rn etc etc.....now add that times 10, thats how hard it is to become and finish medical school....after u have finished 8 years of college...then u have your 3-6 residency,in which u make less than a nurse, but work 80-90 hours a week....and continue doing that for 3-6 years and then take another exam. RESPECT!

  • So let's see here...13 years of school, 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, 6 (ish) years of residency...by golly I can be a surgeon by the time I'm like 32 if I'm lucky! Haha no way I'm doing that. Good luck to all of you doctors out there.

    Actually, most will be finished around their early 30's - mid 30's. Not 31, I'm afraid that's too young.

    and if you think that $250'000-$360'000 a year isn't rich, you must be awesome, additionally, doesn't everyone go after careers for money? I wouldn't be going to university if I had money shoved at me for no reason.
