Landing in San Juan (SJU) - 2007 June

Landing at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, Puerto Rico on a Ted Airlines flight from Chicago O'Hare (ORD)- Monday afternoon 4 June 2007. I was on the right side of the Airbus A320 as it made its final easternly descent over San Juan and finally to the airport. Oh, and at the end, some of the native Puerto Ricans clapped as soon as we landed...I heard that this is customary.

Ummm...actually, this is Ted Airlines. At the 1:39 part of this video that I took myself, the flight crew announces "Ladies and gentlemen, United Airines and Ted..." I'm sure it looks like a JetBlue flight with the blue engine. But this is a Ted Airlines flight.

As I mentioned in the summary, it was Ted Airlines. It's a part of United Airlines.

They also clap when landing at Tel Aviv airport in Israel. The clapping culture came from the Israeli culture after a safe landing and are happy to be home.

Driving in a car is more dangerous than flying in an airplane. Do they always clap after they drive? Its kind of hard to ignore noise you know.
