I wish a remake of RE2 came out on PS3....ah well, you Wii owners are lucky! =)

The reason remakes graphics looked better is because it had pre rendered backgrounds, meaning other than the characters and objects they interact with, the entire game was just a series of pictures that occasionally moved. This game looks like it mixes 3rd person shooter style (re4) with 1st person shooter (GS, UC) so naturally the graphics seem to look "worse", when it's only just that the environment is interactive.

Yeah. I got your point. In all honesty, I could say that I would have liked this game had they made it third person instead of this rail-shooting thing like what they did with Umbrella chronicles. Probably, because I got used to it being like that for a long time now. I don't really know. People have different tastes when it comes to games and sadly I don't like this one at the moment. Maybe it would change once I get my hands on it.

...how you're looking at it ALL the old games after 1 are like that. They're just basically the same thing only with better graphics and sounds and a different story. That's how sequels are supposed to be for games. The main reason that Remake looked so good for the type of game it was is because of how they used the graphics. They weren't better than these graphics, it's just the way they used the graphics of Remake that made them look better atmospherically and everything.

Yeah sure. Wii is a better console compared to Gamecube but that doesn't mean this one is better than remake graphics wise just because they released it in a newer and more advanced console. Capcom has become lazy recently. One can clearly see that they didn't take as much time in making this game as they did with RE:remake. The same thing goes for RE5, it was almost a duplicate of RE4 with just the graphics taken up a notch. But I'll still buy it. It's better than nothing right?

They've completely remade things graphically in this game on a better console than Remake came out on. Also, you expect good things from Capcom after their reputation?

i don't think so. don't get me wrong, the graphics of this game looks great but if you'd compare the two side by side, this one won't even come close to remake's graphics. remake was always noted for it's photo-realistic graphics. just the background, it will make you say "damn this game looks amazing". anyway, i think this one looks fun too. it just wasn't what i expected from CAPCOM.

It looks exciting but to be honest I'm kinda disappointed. First because it's first person and second because the graphics isn't as good as Resident Evil Remake. Backgrounds are not pre-rendered. I thought it was going to be as good as Remake because it's RE2, considered to be th fan favorite in the series. Oh well, I just hope they do a remake for RE3:Nemesis also and this time it should be more like the first remake. RE Remake is the scariest in the series.
