he's halting in the middle of a movement instead of carrying through. The "stumbling" demonstrates momentum (where he's pointing out a throw or a joint lock), a look at his movements shows that he is extraordinarily sure footed (as any advanced internal stylist must be).

jimphung, He's imitating a throw in the air. Say you hook someones leg from the inside, and lean your weight forward to throw them backwards.
That's showing he's leaning the weight in, like a judo inside leg hook. I had to think about it for a second there too.
