Mad respect for this guy. One of the few Machida fans that actually saw the fight everyone else did. By the way I saw your video with the Gi when it came out and yes, I felt insulted by your prediction... In fact I thought you all were retarded but, after watching this video I gotta give u my respect.

i don't think it's all the talking that ruins mma. it's the terible judging

Wtf Machida was dead he could barely walk at the end of the round
He was throwing the most weakest punches in he last 2 rounds cause he was done,
He was suprised that he even won at the end, did u see him shake his head before the announced who won? Even he was surprised.
Machida was done, Machida was bruised everywhere, his ribs and mostly his legs, Shogun was fine cause Machida did nothing

First of all i dont think shogun should have got the title shot.... also i was reading on a website that Machida took the fight with a broken hand that is why he didnt counter as much dont no if that is true or not. Overall i thought Machida won the fight he used better combo's... stopped takedowns and the only time i thought the fight might finish was at the end of the 3 round when machida pushed foward... so i think it was the right decision

i like the fact that he's open minded about this i personally thought machida won though it was a very close fight. I'm with him on the scoring system there are a lot of flaws in the system. The only thing that bothered me just before the fight was how much dana white was talking up shogun and not saying much about machida same with the commentators. They pointed out all the good things rua did but failed to talk about the counter strikes of machida. Just for the record i like rua too

And ur comment about if they were to score fights differently, i feel if the scoring system was different the fighters would have faught a different fight, possibly would even come in the fight with a different gameplan completely...you never know. It's unfair to judge them on a different system because they faught that fight feeling they were being judged by a 10 point must and 9 or less for loser. SO please ppl, dont start judging this fight by different scoring systems...

Another question i have...when 35% of somebody's strikes are being COMPLETELY evaded whereas ur opponent is either landing or forcing u to BLOCK each of his strikes do you not look at accuracy when judging this? From what me and apparently a lot of others saw INCLUDING ALL THREE JUDGES...about 35% of Rua's strikes either missed COMPLETELY or barely touched Machida...whereas about 95% of Machida hits LANDED somewhere. Any feedback on how you feel accuracy should be judged if even at all?

I believe the judges finsh scoring the rounds as they end...and in the first 2 rounds it didn't seem the kicks were really hurting Machida. Despite how many he landed, they didn't seem to be doing much damage yet alone effecting him until later in the 3rd, 4th and 5th round.
Anyways, i have a question...Do you feel evading a strike should be scored the same as blocking a strike? If not, how differently do you think they should be judged?

meh... cant be bothered listening to you. anyways as much as all the fans who want Shogun to win, he didnt ok.. the past is the past, lets look forward to fight 2.

I can actually respect what he's saying even though I believe Machida won that fight. True enough it the fight could be scored 10-10 or the fight was decided on a whole then yes Shogun clearly would have won. However that was not the case and I believe it was safe to say Machida did enough to have a chance to win rounds 1-3.
the fight is one sided according to their body and statistic. Dont turn Off the sound just dont listen to the fucking commentator. Listen to every strike landed. If you mute the volume you wont hear it and you wont know if it clearly landed or just slip. Heres what i heard. Every machida landed sound like a baby slap. And rua landed sound like a 80mph baseball bat hitting a human flesh.
Lyoto only land more body strike in round 1-3
rua landed more head, body strike in round 2,4,5 you want link?

man I feel sorry you have to read these comments sometimes. you have a lot of fickle, arrogant viewers.
This was an awesome review man, you weren't biasly opinionated and you showed respect to both fighters. Those two are at the top of the sport no doubt. I agree that machida surprised me with his sluggish movement later on but the more aggressive fighter isn't the victor, just the more entertaining for misguided violent teenagers watching the sport.
