My final render for the physics of a huge building being hit by a heavy ball. I rendered with all of the following:

HD Video- 1280 X 720
Ambient Occlusion
Soft Shadows- 4 samples
Default Blender Sky

In the end, it only took about 9 and a half hours to render. Not that long. :P

  • That is really cool! I needa try and do that in 3D Studio with their Havoc Physics Reactor engine.

  • Thanks! Their physics engine is actually called Havok though.

  • I swear a Gremlin changed out my "k" for a "c"! >:-)

  • lol

  • I see you're uploading in HD now, welcome to the club! I never knew Blender Internal could make the render look that good. By the way, 9.5 hours is nothing in terms of rendering...

  • HD is fun, isn't it? Yeah 9.5 hours isn't too bad, if you do it overnight, hehe. Blender internal is amazing, I actually don't do a lot with YafaRay. YafaRay is good for some stuff though, definitely, if the render is mainly about image quality.

  • nice.. all my blender buildings bounce a lot though and fall

  • Hah, hardly. It took me... under an hour.

RENDERING however sucked. I have to be really patient for 9.5 hours or render it overnight. I rendered it overnight.
