Very interesting. This is why the sun-god is "born again", just as the sun is "born" every morning. This is why the sun of God will come in the clouds, with the thorns of his crown (sun rays), putting away darkness and rescuing mankind. Now I know why SUNday was a religious holiday back when I was kid....

You can't see the Southern Cross in the northern hemisphere. You can catch a glimps of it at 20 degrees north low in the sky from May through July. You would have to be in Australia to see it in December so how can you use this to explain your rediculous argument
25th of December was only added by misguided early church fathers to make christianity more appealing to the pagans since it was their religous feasting period of the New Year
The Word of God has nothing to do with the sun in the sky!

Jesus had a simple, good moral philosophy: Accept that you will suffer sometimes. Tell the truth. Forgive your brother. All that religion stuff suited someone at some time. That's the part I can't believe. I believe the part about Jesus as the sun of God, and I believe there is a truth to Christ but I believe this is the mythology of the religion and not literally that Jesus the man was God incarnate. That just takes up too much hard drive.

iwhobelieve - wow, I'm a little late replying, aren't I? LOL People find inspiration in different places --- but remember that there are many streams that come from the same well. So, too, are there many paths to God. If your path brings you closer to God, more power to you - but everyone should respect one another's choices and beliefs ~ we're all in this together. =) Blessings ~
