blue flame wood gas natural convection

the base of this is a wood gas camp stove made from two food tins like you see on youtube all over. does a brilliant job.
the top is the lid of a cocktail shaker.

when the stove is in full gasification, I put this top on, and it kinda snuffs out the flame inside and lets smoke draw up though the holes in the cocktail shaker lid.

when it's lit, the flame looks to float on a bed of ... nothing.
...as opposed to the grill getting red hot, which it doesnt here.

the reaction would be benefited by a small fan to keep the coals hot, i simply wanted to illustrate that, that dome shape does something to the shape of the gas, that helps it burn the way it does. thanks for reading if you did :)

id really like to get to the point where i can release a pressure differential in the air that mimics fire, but isnt fire. ;) walter russell science. I wonder if it's possible ;)

I have a few lil gasifiers ... and they are great ... but Id LOVE to see them evolve into plasma reactors. :D OgMandin0? you rock Mr.! :D

Just happened to think, you might not know about engineer775 . Don't know him but he lives nearby.

A "prep-er," he does lots of stuff. He has a DELUXE industrial strength wood gasifer he uses to power his emergency generator and an old Ford pickup. You might want to check him out.
