Hassan Abbasi on Leo Strauss, Gulliver's Travels and American Cinema

Prof Dr Hassan Abbasi talks about Leo Strauss and his neoconservative disciples. Their plans in recent years to create a "New or Greater Middle East" and the renewed budget by the Obama administration to invest 55 million USD of American taxes for propaganda broadcasts into Iran. These include the launching of the new Persian-language channel "FARSI 1+2" among many other entertainment and alleged "News channels" where the newest hollywood films, gossips, claims that Iran is creating a nuclear programme, that votes were rigged in the recent election and film series such as Lost, 24, FlashForward are available to view by the Iranian public for free in order to 'liberalize' the public into submission by making them fans of hollywood.

Netanyahu also suggested, at that same hearing, that U.S. made television programs, whose contents depict sexually explicit material and crass materialism, be broadcast via satellite, to Iran to undermine its conservative social, moral and religious foundations. "This is pretty subversive stuff," he told the committee, according to a UPI report. He mentioned two shows that run on Fox TV, "Melrose Place" and "Beverly Hills 90210" for transmitting. --Source: UPI.com
