@Razoce Why no? Its true for me and I'm sure its true for other people who like to explore the musical world a bit more than you're willing to. A few years ago I listened exclusively to metal because I was close minded and unwilling to try new types of music out.
Granted, I avoid mainstream hip-hop and rap like the plague, but I tend to do the same for pretty much any genre of music. Artists like Nujabes, TOKiMONSTA, Shing02, Cise Starr, and CYNE are fantastic examples of the genre done right.

I know , I been there but eventually it resurfaced and I realized I was just trying to be cool or something by acting like I was too cool/smart for rap

proud to say this was one of the more hardcore songs that got me in to metall when i was like 15. it's bloody fantastic, could listen to it forever.

I love metal and even though I prefer clean vocals, I've got to admit this very album of Dark Tranquillity (damage done) totally rocks. I can't believe I once listened to hip-hop..
