  • @bullerwell i have a painting by r.his serene water wonder what its worth

  • @criticalclick I am unaware of a piece called "Serene Water" by Bateman.... However if its an original and if it is truly his then it could be worth between $10 to $120,000

  • im conflicted... i don't know if i should give this a thumbs up for protecting stuff or thumbs down because he wreked his buitiful painting :.(

  • This is actually depressing... not the facts about the oil spills, but the destuction of such a work of art...

  • It was a significant act. I can't see why you'd think it would be somehow more valid if it was an original - that would be destroying one beautiful thing to save another - an inane idea. The man is obviously trying to do something admirable, and raise awareness. It worked.

  • its on a print ......jeeez people , he probably sold the painting like 10 years ago

  • Great another waist. Why not give it to me.I could sell it and buy a house for me and my kids with a yard. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you gotta wreck it, for what an imaginary oil spill that has not happened why not just cut off your ear while your at it.

  • good point Bob

  • I think the intention behind this is pure - no question and it's cool how an artist can be political or perhaps that every piece of art is in fact inherently political. However, that this is not an original piece of his work but a print, you have to wonder if this is partly a PR stunt. I listened to him talk about this act on a podcast and if he was really serious about this, he would have destroyed an original. Step in with both feet Robert - your work is too good to do half measures.
