Just like a judge in criminal court can't let a murderer go just because he "admits his guilt". You need to pay for the crime or have someone pay for it for you. That's why you need Jesus, who said I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Me." BTW, all sin is against God. It is He who you need to get forgiveness from, not your fellow man.
