love my ME-70, I use it with headphones no amp
Going to run it through a PEAVEY 5150 and Ultra Plus through a 4x12 in stereo
Getting the EC-1000 soon, firts ESP, have only owned Jacksons til now

It almost sounds like a funk version of goodby to romance

I see.
I think if we buy any device, first we have to clear what we need it for. I am in two amateur band right now. I have two amps for that reason. With transistors :-( I have all my sounds in the me70 and I am going with it to the practices and performances of both bands. As I listened to this video, its obvious that the vypyr sound better than the me70. But with the bandit the its a winner. But what really counts is in our hands anyway!
Cheers!

Well, if you like simlicity, ME70 is for you.
GT-8 definitely knows a lot more, but it also takes a lot more time to get on.
ME-70 is a winner amond multifx becouse of its simplicity.
Its a toy, taht actually sounds pretty nice.

it has more effects and more features like looping, pitch shifter, etc..

it has more features and is more expensive, but quality wise, it's about the same.

My answer is yes.
I owned the me 50 for 5 years.
Now I changed it to the 70.
The 70 has a lot more useful features while many useless, and bad ones are left behind. To my ears the sound qualitiy is also better.
It is simply a great unit.
Buy one if you hadnt done it yet!
Cheers

i actually sold it a couple of months ago. i got rid of the crate amp and bought a peavey vypyr 60 watt tube amp. i thought the different distortions and effects on the amp sounded a lot better than what was on the me-70 and hadn't been using it. i do wish i had kept it, because i also recently got a peavey classic 100 half stack, which has no effects other than reverb, and it's a pretty clean amp, not much gain, so it could use a little help when i want some extra crunch.

@mikewsmith1972 buy another one, or yet even better, buy it back...

@TheSugarFreedom i'm seriously thinking about it now that i have a couple of tube amps. i've found that most multi effects units that sound really digital through a solid state amp sound ten times better through a tube amp.
