Honor killing is an abomination. But the best estimates are that 5,000 women per year World Wide are killed in honor killings. And the British homicide rate peaked a few years ago at 1,000 persons per year. So the idea that 3,000 women were killed in one type of activity (honor killings) is questionable. Does anybody know how many women are killed in domestic violence in the US? Or raped by their spouses? If violence against women is really your concern there are other numbers for outrage.
